love

Dear Daniel,

I know it’s been a long time since you’ve been in a relationship, but man you have to loosen up. What is it about a relationship that frightens you? Is it the commitment aspect or is it that you’re afraid to love someone who has the potential to hurt you? I know love sounds frightening but you have to understand that a woman isn’t here to cause pain, she’s here to make you better. A woman will guide you and help push you further than anyone else has. Just because you’ve been hurt in the past doesn’t mean it’ll happen again. You have to remember that not all relationships are the same and that no one is here to painfully tear your heart apart.

Look Daniel, even though you’ve made mistakes in the past know that you’re not that person you used to be. You’ve grown into a beautiful human being who does everything in his power to love everything that surrounds you. You spread kindness everywhere you go without ever expecting anything in return. Although it’s tough sometimes to not have other individuals see that, you have to keep being the kind individual you are because one day someone will notice. And when that person comes they will cherish everything about you. But I know you’ll be frightened by the fact that a person will care so much. Don’t be so cautious. Let the person in into your heart because she only wants to love you deeply. And even though you speak of loyalty so highly know that if you never try with any relationship, you’ll never know what that person has to offer you.

Not every girl you meet will be the girl of your dreams and understand that no one is perfect. We all have flaws, even you. Accept people for who they are and don’t judge them because they might not look or act a certain way. Respect them with your whole heart because any woman who lets you in her heart is protecting herself from any pain.

When you meet someone know that there will be some rollercoaster moments, just don’t be looking to end things when the going gets tough. I know it’s not what you want and I know you hate conflicts but it’s how we humans communicate with one another and really get to understand each other. All you can do during those tough moments is to just sit down with the person and really understand where they’re coming from. If you constantly end things when the going gets tough, how will you ever know if this person is the right one for you if you always end things so quickly. Be patient and learn to work things out.

Love is somethings we’ll never understand but maybe we’re not here to understand it at all. Instead of trying to understand it, maybe we’re just here to actually live it and experience it. So stop trying to control every aspect of a relationship. All the crap you see on tv, social media, and everywhere else is all lie. This isn’t a “live happily ever after” story, there will be moments of frustration but it’s all a matter of growth from the two individuals. Learn that nothing will be perfect but if you love that one person, you have the potential to share your happiness with someone.

So don’t be afraid to see what is out there. Know that you will hurt, but not all relationships are here to cause you forever lasting pain. Love is a beautiful thing that you should go out and experience. I understand you’re busy with work and all but it’s important to share your happiness and accomplishments with someone, it makes life that much more worth living. Because when those days come where you feel as if nothing feels worth it, that special person will show you why everything is worth it. Go out and love, don’t be afraid.

I’ll be watching you.

Yours Truly,

S.G
