Everyday when you get the opportunity to wake up, go ahead and ask yourself, “What am I going to do today to help my situation?” Whether it’s following your dreams, meeting a deadline, or achieving a goal, it’s important to put yourself in the best possible position to be successful. You simply want to set yourself up for success. When you set yourself up to be successful, you have created an encouraging circumstance. Failure to set yourself up for success would be an un-encouraging circumstance.
How to create encouraging circumstances on a daily basis would consist of planning.
Plan everything, then do it.
“Always do your best. What you plant now, you will harvest later.” – Og Mandino.
What we do now will help in the future. Plan and utilize your time. Time management is crucial in doing-so. Use your time wisely and make time for the things you want to accomplish. Don’t let procrastination force you into an un-encouraging circumstance which can lead to failure. Planning is a great tool to use in everyday life. Knowing you have a schedule of when things should be done will make life a lot easier.
Next, when you’re creating encouraging circumstances, be realistic.
Sometimes people have this notion or idea they can accomplish things that may be out of reach. Don’t add stress to your life by overthinking or putting a burden on yourself by thinking you can accomplish something that is unrealistic. The purpose of encouraging circumstances is to be successful and give it your 100% in doing-so.
We must understand that every action has a reaction and/or consequence.
More likely than not, the wrong action can lead you down the wrong path. By procrastinating on a project and leaving it all for the last minute, you’ll rarely accomplish a positive result. Eating poorly when we should stick to our meal prep, won’t help you reach your health goal. Sometimes, we don’t think in the moment. Those actions affect others. Let’s switch up or thinking and how we go about things. Let’s start making positive decisions, thoroughly thinking before we act, and understanding the consequences of our actions. Ultimately, this will help you become a better decision-maker.
Have the mindset that your current situation doesn’t have to be your situation.
What I mean by this is, sometimes you’re gonna have a bad day, a bad week, etc., the thing is life is going to continue. Just because you had a bad day, doesn’t mean your goals and dreams stop. We can’t let those tribulations be permanent. Eventually it will affect our goals, stop us from dreaming, and prevent a better tomorrow because of the problems from today. That’s not our situation. Charles Swindoll once said, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.” Being positive in a situation that’s less than favorable is mature and necessary for moving forward.
Soccer legend, Pele, once said,
“Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do.”
Remember, success is no accident. It’s a product of encouraging circumstances. Being set up for success will always lead to being successful.
